Spin Welding
High strength welds for round parts.
Spin welding is another form of friction welding that spins one part against a stationary part to create heat. The pressure between the parts is carefully controlled to provide proper heating of the weld material. Once the parts are sufficiently heated and ready to be joined, the rotation stops and the parts are forced together. This process is a quick method of joining parts and delivers a strong and consistent weld joint. Wabash’s Engineering group is ready to evaluate your spin weld application today.
